Why I'm interviewing inspired idiots
Cause we're all figuring out what's real
I’m writing this one for you as much as I’m writing it for me.
This is me figuring out—in real time—what I want Inspired Idiots to become.
What I want it to stand for.
And what I hope you will gain from it.
Every week, I interview someone who’s building their “unrealistic” life.
Someone earning $20,000 a month.
Someone turning a greenhouse into a home.
Someone healing their body without prescriptions.
Someone who simply said “no thanks” to the rules they didn’t want to live by.
If they’ve done something that inspires me, I invite them to an interview.
I’m making this content for them
I want guests to feel like someone actually sees the full picture — not just the polished success.
We talk for 90 minutes, and I ask curious questions to learn from them.
Then I turn that raw interview into a YouTube and Spotify episode. I cut clips from it and share them on social media. And I write these newsletter articles, breaking down what that person shared.
Then I share it all with you guys, and with the interviewee—who is free to use any of the content for their own marketing materials.
I’m making this content for you.
People who aren’t afraid to step out of what society deems “normal.”
People who believe they’re capable of building what they truly want.
People who don’t know what the hell they’re doing, but they’re willing to look stupid to figure it out — and they want to hear real talk from other people doing it.
You’re not watching interviews. You’re watching possibility.
I want you to feel less alone on this delusional journey.
I want to create connection, not just more content.
I want to tell stories that make you think, “Holy shit — maybe I’m not crazy.”
But just as much, I’m making it for me
Every time I interview someone, I try to focus on what you will get out of it.
But I’m also doing it because I need it too.
I’m learning in real time.
I’m working on my communication skills.
I’m asking stupid questions, because I’m figuring this stuff out too.
I want to prove to myself that my delusional dreams have receipts.
Confession: I feel pressured to make an “offer”
As I’ve been interviewing more people and putting out more content, I keep hearing my mentor’s voice in my head, saying,
“Above all else, keep it fun.” That’s become my North Star.
It can’t be focused on, “How do I make money with this?”
It has to come from a place of helping us all figure this out.
Helping the people I interview figure out their content voice.
Helping me figure out how to keep moving forward, doing work that pulls me.
And helping you figure out how to embrace feeling like an inspired idiot, so you can keep pursuing the life you really want.
Where we go from here
If you know someone who’s building their unrealistic life and wants to make interview-style content about it — I’m looking for 2-3 people.
Those people should…
Want to have a social media presence
Have 1-2 hours per month to be interviewed
Feel passionate about what they’re working on
If that’s you—or someone you know—comment below or reply to this email.
For you…
Here’s what I want you to take from this:
Asking stupid questions is really underrated.
We all feel a little delusional when we’re trying to build our “unrealistic” lives.
Everything in life is risky—so you might as well go for the risk you actually want.
If hearing that makes you feel at-home, then you are home. Welcome!
I’m grateful to have you as a reader.

Personal update
This is crazy! We learned this week that the hiking trail which passes through the back of our property is actually the Trans Canada Trail.
Yes—it’s a hiking trail that literally goes from one end of Canada to the other.
So, one day when people are enjoying the greenhouse and exploring the food forest, they can go explore a hiking trail that literally stretches across the country!
If you’re new here, my husband and I are building a tropical greenhouse business in the middle of cold-ass Canada—an oasis where we can enjoy nature, even in -40°.
If you’re into that, and want to be part of the journey, come along with us!
Know a local business owner who needs more customers?
That’s my day job — reply here and tell me about them!

I love this idea.
And the idea of just doing it and not knowing how it will work out financially.
(Networking and publishing usually pay off big!)
Why are you calling them idiots
